Kindred

A hint, a suggestion, a word barely said

The rich scent of musk and by instinct I'm led

To hunt and then gather, to seek so to find

A lusty companion, a kindred in kind

A subtle insistence and halfway well met

In tandem, desirous, a sensual mind set

A tender seduction, the breaching of bounds

The roar of two heartbeats muting all other sounds

A whisper, then speaking, an audible shout

And passions collide both within and without

Fled into by instinct, led into by lust

By a kindred desire and an acre of trust

The rich scent of musk and the animal unchained

Between the dawn and the dusk, the moment ingrained

Upon psyche and senses, on our hearts and in mind

A kindred companion and a pleasure so fine
